Rear Sight

I have been making rear sights, one at a time, on a manual mill for years for my custom builds.  I have really liked how those rear sights have turned out, but it required a fairly extensive amount of handwork to get there.  The goal was to offer to the public, the same sight that I use for my custom builds.  I have tried to be as detailed as I possibly can be.  I did not design this sight to be the cheapest or easiest to manufacture.  I designed it to be nice enough that I can use it for my own builds.  Obviously, there are influences from all over the industry in the design of this sight.  That is also very true of any build I've ever made.  Chuck Rogers and Jason Burton are probably the biggest influences in how my sight designs have developed over the years.  They're also two of the smiths who's work I respect the most in this industry.  Their work is extraordinary.      

Right now this sight is geared towards the smith.  It comes with no finish.  Anytime I fit a sight for a build, I almost always put a new finish on the sight, and frankly, its more of a pain if I need to remove a finish that is already there.  I am also offering the sight with no notch cut into it at all.  This allows a smith to buy the sight, and cut the notch to any dimension their customers would like.  I am also offering it with three standard notch widths: .115", .125", and .140".  The depth of the notch is set to .110".  I really prefer a shallower notch than most sights come with, but if you want a deeper notch, its always much easier to cut the notch deeper, than it is to make it a shallower notch.

At this time, I'm not offering a U-notch.
