The Geometry. All hole spacings and locations are done to the original prints. With
that said, the shape of the grip has been altered. My goal in bringing grips to the market
is to offer to everyone, as close as possible to the same grips that I use on my builds.
And those grips all end up being fit and shaped by hand to the best of my abilities. The
question was whether or not I could program and machine the grips in a way that I
would be pleased. I’m happy to say that I have. The profile of the grips have been
changed. First, I wanted to offer as much coverage of the frame as I could, and have
the grips still work well the the most frames possible. Frames are all over the place, so
it may not work perfectly with everything. But I was not happy with the current offering
of grips that are quite narrow, they work universally, and they leave large gaps all
around the grips. I would rather have the ability to make an adjustment, and make it fit,
than be stuck with something that is undersized. The shape of the grip also has a
slight adjustment. Anytime I make grips by hand, with a little #beltsandermagic, they
just feel better in the hand. I have tried to mimic that as much as possible with these
grips. This first offering is also slightly thicker than the standard grip. These just fill the
hand so well. I would not describe them as oversized. I have also added as much
plunger tube support as I can. I believe this to be a really important attribute, and it is
basically nonexistent on currently available grips (as far as I know).

The Texture: This is definitely my favorite texture for a grip. Its very “grippy” without
being sharp. A similar pattern was previously called “chaos”, but I didn’t love that name.
These grips felts like a really rough tree bark. Obviously, one of the most famous forest
of all time, is the Fanghorn forest. So that felt like an appropriate name. I also love that
you can make the texture work for you. If you find that the texture is too aggressive,
you can simply take some sandpaper and sand the top of the points down until it works
how you want it to work.

The Material: G10 is awesome because there is no finish. You can sand it, file it,
machine it, rub it on some concrete, do anything you need to make the grips work for
you. Then simply rub some oil into the area that you worked on, and it will restore the
natural color. G10 is fully stabile, so it won’t expand or shrink. It will compress a tiny
amount, but you are able to snug down the grip screws fairly tight.
